The Visit to Russia of KIYOYUKI TERADA 9^th DAN

Most Senior rank of Yoshinkan Aikido

On Saturday 9^th June until 16^th June 2001 Russian students were honored to have the second visit within a month of the two top Yoshinkan Aikido masters Kiyoyuki Terada Sensei and Kyoichi Inoue Sensei both 9^th dan. Terada Sensei being head of Yoshinkai (All Yoshinkan) and Inoue Sensei head of Hombu dojo.

The visit of Terada Sensei was organized the St.Peterburg Yoshinkan school and our first contact with Sensei was at Sheremetyevo Airport where we met the group and spent a pleasant few hours whilst they where waiting for their connecting flight to St. Peterburg, also travelling with Terada Sensei were Matsuo shihan 7^th dan, his wife Matsuo 6^th dan, Kenji Nakazawa 5^th dan and Masaki sensei 5^th dan, Terada sensei’s wife also was with the party.

THE SEMINAR OF MISOGIKAN SCHOOL OF YOSHINKAN AIKIDO

At last after much planing we were waiting at Sheremetyevo Airport for the arrival of the Head of Yoshinkan Aikido Hombu-Dojo, Dojocho Kyoichi Inoue 9^th dan and Sonoda 7^th dan Shihan.

The plane arrived on time and we transported Sensei to the Aerostar Hotel, after which we took them on an evening tour of Moscow and then on to dinner. Which gave us the chance to talk about the Russian Aikido situation.

Day two 16^th saw us at the Hombu-dojo of Misogi kan where we had chance to prepare for the Festival of Martial Arts which was scheduled to take place the next day, following lunch we went on a guided tour inside the Kremlin Palace, with Alexandre E. Inshakov and Sugiura Sensei 9^th dan Karate. We then went to a Japanese Restaurant for dinner.
